Each week we celebrate the work of enthusiastic artists:
Sam Rodda
Congratulations to Sam Rodda (8I) who has been selected at 'KSC Artist of the Week' by Ms Humphris. Sam completed this artwork as part of the ‘People and Technology’ assessment task.
The aim of this assessment task was to explore and develop watercolour painting practices using a variety of techniques to produce an individual artwork based on the concept of People and Technology.
Please read below what Sam has written to describe his art piece.
‘My artwork is about today's technological age, and how we can so easily escape with coping mechanisms that are detrimental for our mental and/or physical heath. I used watercolour and various techniques to create the textures seen in this artwork.’
NGV Teen Art Party
In a previous newsletter we notified students about a NGV competition where students were asked to design an advertising poster to market the NGV Teen Art Party.

National Fashion College is delighted to invite your school to nominate one Year 12 student for an exclusive, complimentary Fashion & Beauty Marketing Masterclass.
This unique one-day experience has been created exclusively for Year 12 students who are passionate about fashion, beauty, marketing, social media, or the creative industries and are beginning to explore their future career pathways.
There is no cost to attend. Thanks to National Fashion College and our industry partners, this is a fully complimentary experience designed to give students exclusive access to industry insights that are rarely available at a high school level.
Hosted at our Melbourne campus, students will step inside the world of fashion and beauty marketing, discover how leading brands build their online presence, and gain a firsthand look at careers in one of Australia's fastest-growing creative industries.
We're thrilled to welcome Alex Mackintosh, Social Media & Communications Executive at Sephora, as our guest host. With experience across TikTok, MCoBeauty and Sephora, Alex will share valuable insights into building successful brands, creating engaging social media campaigns, and what it's really like to work in Australia's leading beauty industry.

Year 12 Student Nominations
Each school is invited to nominate one Year 12 student who demonstrates a genuine interest in fashion, beauty, marketing, social media or the creative industries
Only 34 places are available, making this an intimate and highly exclusive experience. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage schools to submit nominations as soon as possible.
Once we receive your nomination, we'll contact the student and their parent or guardian directly with the registration link and all event information.
We would love for your school to be part of this exciting opportunity and look forward to welcoming one of your Year 12 students to National Fashion College.
