SPC College House and Age Athletics Carnival

The SPC Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with plenty of House spirit, friendly competition and great performances. Students threw themselves into the action across both track and field events, with some impressive results throughout the day. The support from the sidelines and the enthusiasm shown by all students helped create a great atmosphere. An extended thank you goes out to the amazing SPC staff who helped contribute on the day. Congratulations to the following students who were College Age Champions and to Rice House who were our overall House Champions for 2026.

Recommencement of Winter Sport in Term 3

I would like to wish all students, coaches, parents/carers and staff a happy and safe holiday period and thank you all for the incredible work done in SPC sport in Term 2. This is a reminder that regular winter sport scheduling will recommence on Tuesday, 21 July with matches scheduled for Saturday, 25 July.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Cristian L who represented NSWCIS last week at the NSW All Schools Football Championships. NSWCIS came away with one win and one loss on the day with wonderful contributions from Cristian throughout the tournament.

Good luck ISA Rugby Representatives

We wish the best of luck to Jack A, Oscar D, Hamish M and Alex S who will play for the ISA Second XV on Thursday and Friday at the NSWRU Trials. The boys will play three games across the two days against GPS Second XV, CAS Second XV and Sydney Junior U/18s. We would also like to wish Mr Macquire Tatola the best of luck as coach of the ISA First XV who are also playing in the tournament.

Additionally, all the best to Sean C who will play in the ISA U/16 side in the upcoming NSWRU Trials to be held at St Gregory’s College on Friday and Saturday.

Football Season Update and Thank You

As we conclude the term, I wanted to share some highlights from Round 8 of our Football Program. Across all teams, we played 30 matches, recording 21 wins, 2 draws, and 7 losses, while scoring 91 goals and conceding 44.

Some notable results from the final round included:

  • Second XI defeated Redlands First XI 1-0.

  • Fourth XI recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over St Spyridon College Second XI.

  • 15B secured a strong 3-1 win against Redlands A.

  • 14B, after being moved into the A competition following the ISA season, recorded their first win with a 3-1 victory.

  • 14G celebrated their first win of the season with an excellent 3-0 result.

It was a great round overall and a positive way to finish the term. The boys, coaches, and families should be very proud of their efforts and commitment throughout the season.

We look forward to returning in Term 3 and building on the progress made so far.

Thank you again for your ongoing support of the Football Program.
