Cafe Culture

Sharon Francis

Earlier this month, Café Culture students ran two successful Mother’s Day fundraising events. We have been doing these Mother’s Day events for approximately 12 years; every year we have great interest in this event and we thank all of those who joined in this year. Your attendance supports our students, as well as the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), which is a major source of support and information for individuals affected by breast cancer and their families.  A donation will be made to BCNA.

I was really impressed with how the students performed, completing both front of house and back of house tasks; they are to be congratulated on their efforts.   I would like to thank Daithi Condon and the Hands on Learning Team for their assistance in making stands for the lattice screens and Darren Wills for his help in painting them.   And as usual, a huge thanks to Anne Wilkins for her incredible contribution to the running of these events.
