Yarra Ranges Tech School: Maths Maze

On 9/5/25 a group of Year 9 students had the opportunity to visit the Yarra Ranges Tech School for a day of technology-based learning. We did various activities including image search technology, programming robots and a robot race at the end of the day.  We used Teachable Machine to train the program to recognize different objects such as cars, people and bikes. We then went on to program robots to navigate a maze of lines on the floor. My favourite part of the day was programming the robots and using free range mode to explore the classroom. After that we collaborated together to make a racetrack in the classroom for our robots to race on. I really enjoyed the experience; it was a really fun opportunity to learn technological basics and how to code.   The Lilydale Heights community thanks the YRTS team for giving us a chance to learn all about robotics and AI.
