Intermediate Girls Cricket
"Last Thursday, 27/3, the Year 9/10 Intermediate Girls' cricket team went to the Lilydale Sports Oval to play against Upper Yarra Secondary College. Our team had some absences on the day, but the remaining six Year 9 girls were up to the challenge and ready to have fun!
LHS batted first and valiantly faced the opposition's fastest bowlers. We all put in our best effort and scored lots of runs!
Next was our opportunity to bowl, and we were all really sharp with both our bowling and fielding. Well done to Jordan, who bowled our only wicket of the day!
Although we lost by 9, we had a great day and celebrated with Maccas afterwards, of course! Thanks to Lily for captaining the team and to Ms Smith and Mr Hrabi for taking us on this awesome day out!
Ms Smith would also like you to know that we were an amazing high-spirited team who gave it our all - dancing, singing, oh, and some cricket! Lily was awarded the MVP trophy, closely contested by Sigourney."
