Student Pick Up Etiquette

If you need to pick your child up early from school, please be at the school before 2:45 pm, as we do not call students out of class after 2:45. If you arrive after this time you will need to wait till the end of day bell rings at the normal dismissal time of 3:10.

We also ask that you take note of our break times - 11:40 am to 12:10 pm for lunch break, and 1:50 pm to 2:20 pm for the recess break. If you arrive to collect your child during these times the children are out at play. While we will attempt to call your child to the office for pick up, students often do not hear announcements made during their out door time.

You should also note that every second Friday there is a whole school assembly from 2:30 in the afternoon. On these days, students are not able to be called to the office for pick up from the end of recess at 2:20 pm.

If you do collect your child early from school, also please make sure that you sign your child out on the computers at the office.

Student Enrolment Information Form

Student Enrolment Information Forms were recently sent home for all students. This document shows all the details the school has on file for your child. It is important that the information we have on file is current. Consequently, we would like to request that all parents/guardians check the information on the form and amend anything that is incorrect or where information has changed. Please then sign the form and send it back to school so we can update the information on file.

Please pay particular attention to the email address for parents. As parent of the distribution of funds through the School Saving Bonus (there is an article in this newsletter about it) the Department of Education will be emailing parents information about the bonus, and how to access it for items, including uniform.

Excursions and Payment

Parents are asked to keep a check on school events by logging in to Sentral. By using the Sentral app, you will have access to information about events at the schools, and also about excursions and costs for your child to attend. You are able to give permission for your child to attend excursions through the Sentral app.

PLEASE NOTE - if you have CSEF and you have given permission for your child to attend an excursion, the cost of the excursion will be taken from your CSEF, unless you contact the office and specifically request that this does not occur.

Student Absences

If your child is absent from school, it is important that you let us know the reason.

Parents are asked to put their child's absence into Sentral, but if you are not able to do that, please call the school and let us know your child will not be at school, and the reason why.

If you cannot contact the school on the day your child will be absent, we do ask that you send your child to school with a note explaining their absence. This note can be handed in at the office, or to their class teacher.
