Student Voice &

Positive Environment

Well done to all members of the SRC who took a major leading role during Multicultural Week to ensure that it was an amazing experience for everyone. They are to be commended for their leadership in running the multicultural assemblies, especially our three year students, (Oskar Iles, Rishik Verma and Even Jenkins) who were able to get up in front of not only the year 7’s, but also the year 12’s School Captains (Morrisham & Riya), and lead an outstanding assembly.  It will be exciting to see all members of the SRC continue to build their leadership skills.

The college is continuing to gain student feedback in everything that we do. In the first week of term, 10 students from a variety on year levels, including four SRC representatives, worked with our Equity Alliance group to give feedback as to what areas of the college they thought was going well, and what areas may need further improvement. This feedback will further guide the actions and goals of the college as we continue to complete our collective work on "Reimagining" the college for 2025.

Recently, our college was lucky enough to be invited for The Voice of Young People- Future Wyndham Workshop to occur later this month. We will have 6 students attending. Students will participate in a workshop and present their ideas and feedback to the Wyndham City Mayor, to provide vital input as what they want Wyndham to look like in the years to come.

As always, it has been a pleasure working with our young leaders and continuing to ensure that student voice is considered in decisions made by the College.
