Year 7
Assistant Principal's Report
There has been four weeks of term, and many activities to keep everyone busy. I would like to congratulate all year 7 students who received academic awards at our sub school assemblies in the first week of term. It is great to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of students. I hope others were inspired to always try and achieve their best.
The highlight for me this so far this term was Multicultural Week. It was heart-warming to see students so proud of their cultures and their pride in displaying their culture to others. The cultural dance performances were amazing as always. There were many year 7’s involved, and I would like to make special mention of Cooper Layton who led the Pacific Islands students for their performance.
For year 7’s, term 3 is about continuing to build on good habits established in semester 1 and 2 so that they can get the most out of their opportunities and thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
I look forward to continuing to build positive relationships with all students and families, so that we can continue to work in partnership so that all of our year 7’s thrive.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
The term has started smoothly, offering numerous opportunities for fun and skill development.
Our Year 7’s have represented our year level with pride by showcasing their many talents. Many of our Year 7’s were recognised at our Middle School Assembly in Week 1 for their academic excellence and endeavour.
The Year 7’s have started their Career Action Planning by exploring the world of work. The Career Action Plan is designed to allow students to build up their knowledge of jobs and careers, and give them informed choices of what is available to them in their future.
Our Year 7’s enjoyed Multicultural Week where many of our students dressed in their cultural dress and looked amazing. The year 7’s supported and encouraged the performers and it was lovely to see that some of them braved the stage and showed everyone their cultures through dance and song. This is one of my favourite weeks of the year, as it brings so many of our school community joy and celebrates the many cultures we have at the college.
I would like to sincerely thank Ewan Slater for his Co-ordination of the Year 7’s this year. His efforts have been recognized and he will be working with the Year 8’s for the rest of the year. I would like to welcome Eliza Shearer as the new year 7 co-ordinator.
