Prep 2027

School tours are in full swing at Hillsmeade PS as we welcome potential students and families that may join us next year. Don't forget that applications for prep are due by 31st July.

Curriculum Day 

A big thank you to the community for supporting our Curriculum Day. Staff worked through a variety of professional learning opportunities and tasks in preparation for assessment and reporting throughout 2026. Our next Curriculum Day will be in Term 3 on Wednesday 19th August. On this day we will host a guest presenter by the name of Bron Ryrie-Jones who will assist us in developing our classroom practices and whole school approaches.

Principal on leave

A friendly reminder to the school community that I will be on Long Service Leave from Friday 29th May, returning Monday 22nd June. I'm excited to be travelling to Japan, South Korea and Singapore, enjoying some lovely warm weather! 

Paul Hill returns from his leave this week and will be in the role of Acting Principal in my absence.

Student Support Group Meetings

Please don't forget to book in your child's SSG when prompted to do so. This term's dates will be from 8th June -  19th June. SSGs are a very important part of a child's school journey and we really enjoy working together in partnership with our families to support our students. 

The Colour Explosion Run

Don't forget to put Friday 13th November in your diaries for the Hillsmeade PS Colour Explosion Run! We will be promoting this with students next term and having them start their fundraising journey towards the end of Term 3/start Term 4. This is our biggest fundraiser that we now hold every two years, in the hope we can raise funds to support works and developments in our school. We can't wait to get involved in all the fun again!!
