Riviera Secondary Schools Clay Target Championship

12 of our most accurate students competed at the Bairnsdale Field and Game last week against 125 competitors from across Gippsland. Sienna and Nicky were steely focussed to take 3rd place in the U15’s and O15’s in their respective categories. It was great fun to see them all hit so many of the 20 targets, that varied so much in direction on the day. We’re incredibly proud of Caleb, Jack, Harry, Layne, Chris, Ned, Flinn, Annabelle and Winston on their accuracy and comradery. We are looking forward to the next event in a couple of months’ time.

Gippsland Swimming Championships

Our team gave it their all at the Sale pool, in mostly wintery conditions unfortunately. With a pool temperature of 25 degrees and an outdoor temperature of 18 degrees, the warmest place to be was in the pool. Braxton, Georgia, Cooper, Amy, Annabell, Hayden, Lola, Flinn and Tori had a real dip (pun intended), against some of the best swimmers in our region. It takes courage to swim in those conditions, so well done team BSC. Congratulations to Cooper on qualifying to state level for the second year in a row - 1st place in 3 events is an outstanding achievement. We will be cheering you on the whole way.
