Macbeth Incursion

On 20 August, all Year 10 students were treated to an abridged production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth from Complete Works Theatre Company. The entire production was performed by three very talented actors. After the play was performed the cast stayed behind to answer some questions from students. This was a beneficial experience as it allowed us to deepen our understanding of Macbeth’s key themes and ideas and to see the play on the stage, as it was originally intended. Given we are currently studying Macbeth it was enlightening to see how crucial concerns like guilt, supernatural influence and free will are discussed and conveyed for the stage.
