International Program

Assistant Principal - International Student Program
It has been a vibrant and rewarding semester in the International Department at Elwood College. We were delighted to welcome six new students to our school community, joining us from China, Vietnam, and Switzerland. These students have quickly settled into life at Elwood, embracing both the academic and social aspects of school life.
The focus throughout Term 2 has been on study, with our international students working hard to complete assessments and finish Semester One strongly. We are proud of their dedication and the resilience they continue to show as they pursue their learning in a new country and language.
Beyond the classroom, our international students have embraced every opportunity to get involved in school life. A highlight was seeing some of them perform at Talent Night—an event that showcased their creativity, courage, and willingness to connect with the wider school community. Their participation helped make the night a true celebration of Elwood’s diverse talents.
We also hosted birthday parties and farewell gatherings for five of our much-loved students – Can, Elisabetta, Noah, Fabian, and Karl – as they completed their time with us. These events were filled with laughter, shared memories, and heartfelt goodbyes, reminding us of the strong bonds formed within our international community.
We look forward to Semester Two with excitement as we continue to support our international students in their studies and personal growth at Elwood College.
