Middle School

As Term 2 concludes, so does Semester 1 for our students. When they return, they'll embark on a new semester with fresh subjects, classmates, and teachers. This transition is particularly significant for Year 10 students, marking their final semester in the Middle School Program before advancing to their senior years.
To ensure a smooth start to Semester 2, students can prepare by bringing a notebook for each subject. These don't need to be brand new; in fact, continuing in their current notebooks for subjects in the same learning area can be beneficial, allowing them to build upon their previous work.
In Semester 2, students will begin exploring their 2026 subject options. Year 9 students will complete the Morrisby Profile — a comprehensive assessment designed to identify their natural aptitudes and strengths, and to highlight potential career paths.
Year 10 students will revisit their 2024 Morrisby Profile results and receive information to make decisions about their Senior School journey. Parents play a crucial role in this process. To support them, we'll be hosting a Senior School Information Session early next term, providing valuable insights into the upcoming changes and opportunities.
Semester 2 also brings exciting adventures for our Middle School students. The Year 9 camp, scheduled for early September, is the final whole-year level camp for this group. It promises a mix of adventure and tradition, featuring an overnight hike, camping out, and classic camp activities like the giant swing.
Reflecting on Semester 1, a huge thank you to all parents, carers, and guardians who have supported the school, managing the at-home aspects of student life. Organising uniforms, completing excursion forms, and getting sleepy and sometimes grumpy teenagers to school each day.
We look forward to Semester 2!
