Well done to all of our Year 11 and Year 12 students for completing Semester 1 - for our Senior School students, we are now past the half-way mark of the academic year! It has been a very busy end to Term 2 with the VCAA GAT exams and end of Semester 2 SACs and assessments and our students will be very much ready for a well deserved break.
It is an exciting time for all our VCE students. Some of our Year 11 students have just submitted their subject changes for the second half of 2025 and will shortly begin the process of choosing their subjects for their final year of schooling in 2026 - this process will get underway early in Term 3.
Our Year 12 students have begun their Unit 4 studies and have received their VCAA exam timetables for October/November, so the countdown is well and truly on. A special shout out to Ms. Duffy who has been meeting individually with every Year 12 student to discuss post-school options as our young adults start looking very seriously at their lives beyond their school years. Year 12 students will start putting in their post-school preferences during Term 3.
We had some great moments with the Senior School students in Semester 1, ranging from stimulating classroom discussions, the VCE Formal, Swimming Sports, Athletics and unfortunately ending our unbeaten streak in the staff v students annual Freeze MND footy game. We hope the determination, application and skill the Year 12 students showcased on the football pitch translates to classrooms for the final run home in Semester 2.
A big thank you to all our Year 11 and 12 students for a highly productive and positive first semester. Thank you also to the outstanding Senior School team of Natasha Koutsoukis, Sebastian Barr, Emily Duffy and Jessica Chapman-Adams who have all played key leading roles in supporting our VCE students in 2025 along with our excellent VCE subject teachers who form the positive relationships that make Elwood College a great school. We will have a new Senior School Director for Semester 2 with Nick Costanino taking the reins. We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure 2025 ends as well as it has begun

Wednesday 27th August: Elevate Presentation 'Ace Your Exams' for 2025 Year 12 students
Thursday 11th September - Tuesday 16th September: Year 12 Practice Exams
Monday 20th October: Last Day 2025 Year 12 classes
Tuesday 21st October: Year 12 Celebration Day and Valedictory Evening
Tuesday 28th October - Wednesday 19th November: VCAA Final Exams for students taking a Year 12 subject in 2025
Thursday 20th November - Tuesday 25th November: Year 11 End of Year Exams
Wednesday 26 November - Friday 5th December: 2026 Year 12 Academic Progression for 2025 Year 11 students
Friday 5th December: Last day for 2025 Year 11 students
Wednesday 10th December: Presentation Evening at St Kilda Town Hall
Thursday 11th December: 2025 Year 12 results and ATARs released
