Year 7-10 Parent-Teacher Interviews next week - Please ensure that you have made bookings for Parent-Teacher interviews, which will be held online via the Teams app on Thursday 2 July, and in-person at the College on Friday 3 July. Bookings can be made via Compass. Reports have been uploaded to Compass for parent access.

Interim Year 11 and 12 Student Learner Profiles will be made available this week. These will give students and parents an opportunity to reflect on each student’s approach to their learning at this point in time, and re-focus as they move into Term 3. For Year 12 students, there is a short window of just a few weeks before the Trial exams, while Year 11 students have most of Term 3 to place themselves in a good position to achieve their best for the Prelim exams at the end of the term.

Year 12 students will now be studying in a more focused manner as their Trial Exams will be upon them early in Term 3, in Weeks 3-4. All students should receive an Exam Notification from their class teacher before the end of term so that they can effectively plan and implement a Study Schedule over the school holiday break. It is important to attend all of the exams, but should you have any Illness or Misadventure, please use the form on Compass and Mrs Vella will assist you.

Year 10 students had a great day on Tuesday this week, working out their proposed program of study with our KLA Leaders and other relevant teachers. They have now selected their program of study for 2027. If you have any further queries or issues about the subject selection, please email me directly so that we can assist you. (nvella19@parra.catholic.edu.au). We will create the timetable for 2027 during Term 3 based on all the students’ preferred subject choices, so the students will receive confirmation of their subjects early in Term 4.

Congratulations to Mrs Belinda Pranjic who will work alongside Mrs Vella on Curriculum issues until the end of Term 3 while Mrs Lans has stepped into the Assistant Principal role.

Year 7 HSIE

In the last couple of weeks, our Year 7 HSIE students have been recreating the ancient Chinese terracotta warriors from the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi. The students have been learning about all aspects of the ancient world this semester with a focus on ancient Egypt and ancient China, and having a lot of fun testing out a few aspects of these cultures with some practical activities. Next semester all students in Year 7-10 will move to a study of Geography.
