From the Assistant Principals - Wellbeing and Learning

Staff Development Day - Monday, 20th July
On this day our teaching staff will be engaged in a curriculum planning day allocated to all schools by NESA. Therefore, students will commence Term 3 on Tuesday, 21st July.
Upcoming Lockdown Drill
As mentioned in our previous Chisholm Need To Know, staff and students will undertake a Lockdown Drill in Week 11 to ensure we have suitable processes in place in the event of an actual lockdown. Students have received information about what is required of them and should you or they have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
Parent Teacher Interviews - Week 11
We look forward to meeting with parents either online or in person at our Parent Teach Interviews in Week 11. With Semester 1 Reports now sent home to parents, these interviews are an excellent opportunity to speak about your daughter’s learning and progress. Bookings for interviews can be made via Compass.
Key Reminders for Term 3
Parents are asked to take the upcoming holiday break as an opportunity to address any uniform needs. In particular, adjustment to skirt length is needed by some students to accommodate growth. Any hair colouring that is outside our hair requirements needs to be rectified before students return in July. Parents can verify our uniform and grooming rules in your daughter’s College diary. Thank you for your support of our uniform requirements.
Caroline Chisholm Day
Caroline Chisholm Amazing Race: Connecting the Values That Shaped a Life
The Caroline Chisholm Amazing Race was a wonderful highlight of Caroline Chisholm Day, providing students with an engaging and meaningful opportunity to explore the life, legacy and values of our College patron.
Working collaboratively in House groups, students completed a series of challenges centred on Caroline Chisholm's six core values: Faith, Courage, Tolerance, Dignity, Compassion and Justice. Throughout the race, students discovered that these values are not separate qualities, but are deeply interconnected. Caroline's faith inspired her courage, her courage empowered her pursuit of justice, her compassion upheld the dignity of others, and her tolerance enabled her to welcome and serve all people.
Each challenge concluded with every student contributing a coloured paper chain link, ensuring that every member of the group played a part in creating their House's Caroline Chisholm Values Chain. When joined together, the chain became a powerful symbol of how these values were woven throughout Caroline Chisholm's life and continue to guide our College community today.
Following each challenge, students also reflected on how Caroline demonstrated each value, recording their ideas on a class poster. The completed Values Chains and posters will be proudly displayed in homerooms as a lasting reminder of our shared commitment to living these values each day.
The Amazing Race was much more than a competition. It was an opportunity for students to strengthen relationships across year levels, demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving and leadership, and deepen their understanding of the values that continue to inspire our College mission.
Congratulations to Kenny House, whose outstanding teamwork, collaboration and enthusiasm saw them crowned the winners of this year's Caroline Chisholm Amazing Race. We also congratulate all students for the enthusiasm, House spirit and commitment they demonstrated throughout the day. Thank you to our dedicated staff for making this memorable learning experience possible and for bringing Caroline Chisholm's charism to life through such an engaging experience.
