Celebrating Lunar New Year

Brighton Secondary College recently celebrated Lunar New Year with a vibrant and meaningful lunch hosted by our International Student Program team. The event brought students together to recognise and celebrate Chinese culture, creating a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and shared understanding within our school community.
Students embraced the occasion with enthusiasm, taking part in traditions associated with Lunar New Year and learning more about the significance of the celebration. The festive atmosphere was complemented by a delicious spread of food, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. Sharing a meal together provided a valuable moment for connection, conversation and reflection on the importance of cultural diversity within our college.
Events such as these play an important role in fostering inclusion and global awareness, particularly within a school community that values international perspectives and experiences.
We extend our sincere thanks to the International Student Program team for their organisation and leadership in coordinating this celebration. Their efforts ensured a welcoming and memorable experience for all involved.
