Global Learning Student Ambassador Program

Dear Brighton Secondary College Community,
On Thursday, the 26th of February, we along with the two newly appointed Brighton Secondary International Ambassadors, Kevin Fu and Jessie Ngyuen, had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Global Learning Student Ambassador Program with Miss Bolton. This program focuses on helping international students to feel welcome and included while helping local students develop intercultural understanding and global awareness.
The head of the program, Emilia, was extremely passionate and made the day both engaging and enjoyable. At this program, which was hosted at the William Angliss Institute, we partnered with Thomas Carr College in Tarneit, and together we planned and designed ideas to increase cultural awareness throughout the school communities. To achieve this, we will beestablishing a cultural club where students will be able to share ideas that promote cultural awareness throughout the school. We will meet regularly via Zoom with our partner school to keep each other informed and plan events that align with our cultural club.
Overall, the day was an incredible opportunity, and we are excited to continue working with Thomas Carr College to implement our ideas and further strengthen connections between international and local students.
Sincerely,
Ashton and Aoife
