VCE Seminar at the Gippsland Art Gallery 

VCE Art Creative Practice and Art Making and Exhibiting students recently travelled to Gippsland Art Gallery in Sale to take part in an engaging VCE seminar and exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. During the visit, students explored artworks by contemporary artists including Kenny Pittock, Gillian Kline, and Paul Yore, gaining valuable insight into artistic practice and curatorial decision-making.

Students also had the opportunity to view current exhibitions throughout the gallery before heading into a special Back of House tour, where they discovered the careful processes involved in handling, conserving, and installing artworks. The experience provided a meaningful look into the professional art world and deepened students’ understanding of the many roles involved in bringing exhibitions to life.
