As we reach the midpoint of Term 1, it has been wonderful to see our Year 9 students settling so positively back into the rhythm of secondary school life.
The transition into a new year level always brings a mix of excitement, curiosity, and nerves. Over the past few weeks, our Year 9 cohort has shown resilience and maturity as they have adjusted to new subjects, teachers, and expectations. Classrooms have been buzzing with energy, with students engaging thoughtfully in discussions, collaborating well in group tasks, and embracing new challenges.
On display in the HUB is a beautiful arrangement of hand-made, paper 3D flowers created by our very talented students in Ms Reggardo's 3D Art class.

With summer in full swing our students are thoroughly enjoying playing sport during the break times and apparently, so does our Principal! Mr Roberts joined in on some competitive basketball with Georgia, Hayley, Jack and Emilio.

Students have been showcasing their culinary talents in Ms Van Denter's Wide World of Food class. Students made Oyakadon - a Japanese chicken and rice dish topped with egg and garnish. The students learned how to use the absorption method for cooking rice and how to simmer the topping dish. Looks delicious!

We look forward to seeing Year 9 continue to grow in confidence and independence as the term progresses. Thank you to our families for your ongoing support in helping our students make such a strong start to the year.
Highlights from our BSC swim trials and Gymkhana - Our students really shine at extra curricular events and represent the college with pride, what a wonderful opportunity!

Preparation for NAPLAN 2026 is well underway. NAPLAN is a series of assessments for all Year 7 and 9 students across Australia, designed to monitor student progress in literacy and numeracy. It is not a pass-or-fail test but provides valuable insights into student growth, curriculum effectiveness, and the quality of teaching and learning at our College.
This year, NAPLAN will take place in Term 1, from Wednesday 11th March to Monday 23rd March 2026.
While participation is expected, parents and carers have the option to withdraw their child from NAPLAN testing for religious, philosophical, or educational reasons. If you are considering withdrawal, please contact the College as soon as possible to discuss the process and complete the necessary paperwork.
For more information, parents and carers can refer to the attached brochure or visit the official NAPLAN website:
