Certificate III in Visual Arts

Over the past two weeks, the Year 11 Certificate III in Visual Art students have been developing a photographic folio for their current Photography unit. They participated in walking tours of Brisbane City and Mount Coot-Tha to capture a range of images of both the built and the natural environments.

The students also engaged in a presentation and practical photographic workshop with Tajette O’Halloran, an Australian photographic artist whose practice investigates social and emotional themes relating to identity, belonging and adolescence within the context of regional and rural Australia.

Year 11 and 12 FTV Excursion

At the conclusion of Week 4, all Senior FTV students and Year 12 Certificate III in Business students, accompanied by Mr Hardy, Mr Nelson and Ms Walsh,  converged on the Gold Coast to visit the iMax Theatre at Pacific Fair. The students viewed “The Odyssey” on the big screen, observing the high resolution cinematography, the unique aspect ratio and immersive sound design.
