Walkathon 2026 — thank you!

What a fantastic day for the 2026 Marist Walkathon. It was wonderful to see so many students, families, staff and volunteers enjoying one of our great blue and gold traditions.

A huge thank you to the 70 plus volunteers who helped make the day such a success, working across the course, canteen, coffee van, BBQ and sausage sizzle, clean-up and dismantling.

A special thank you to Jon Pollard and the Australian Defence Force volunteers - Peter Knowles, Michael Colquhoun, Margaret Pollard and Lisa Miller and to Matthew Bach, Rowena Hardiker and Owen Stuttard our Queensland Police Service volunteers, for their generous support on the day.

The photos will say it best — the day was full of energy, smiles and community spirit.

Congratulations also to our best-dressed prize winners.

The Marist pink and blue beanies were also a big hit. We still have a limited number left which will be selling at the canteen during the last home round against St Edmund’s College on Saturday 29 August 2026, or alternatively if you want to make sure of acquiring this highly fashionable accessory before they are all sold out, please email (PresidentPandF@marash.qld.edu.au) and we will make sure to put some aside. First in best dressed!

There are no home sporting fixtures this week, so our wonderful sports canteen volunteers have a well-earned break.
