Year 10 Elevate IT

In the past few lessons, in our Year 10 Elevate IT classes, students have been learning about the hidden danger when accessing the Internet and what really is being 'given away'. 

From cookies (which leave a trace, i.e. 'cookie crumbs' on your device) to the data that companies collect about you and what you like or do online, and down to what companies tell you about and what they hide in their T&Cs (that most of us just accept by selecting 'ok' or 'yes' tickboxes). Teachers and students discussed what should not be given, i.e. personal and/or sensitive data, location data and other identifiable information. 

The memes that students have completed show how well they now understand (and are aware of) the risks when using the internet. Here's a selection from our current classes for you to view.
