Whether students are die-hard readers or just looking for something fun to do, we've got something that will spark their imagination. Students are encouraged to swing by the Library and dive into the adventure. Remember, Book Week is more than just books—it’s about connection, creativity, and community. Shadow Judging: Students Pick Their Winners

Our student Shadow Judges have wrapped up their final deliberations and cast their votes for the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Books of the Year.

Older Readers: A Wreck of Seabirds — a haunting, coastal gothic tale set in Western Australia, where grief and secrets swirl like sea mist.

Eve Pownall Award (Information Books): Flora — a stunning celebration of Australia’s weird, wild, and wonderful plants, looking into their history, quirks and uses, and how vital they are for our unique ecosystems

Next week, our judges will gather one last time to watch the official CBCA winners announcement and see if other student Shadow Judges around Australia agreed with their choices. Rumour has it there will be popcorn 😊

Book Swap + End-of-Week Party = Double the Fun

Got a book you’ve loved and want to pass on? Bring it to the Library by next Wednesday, 20 August, and grab a ticket to our Book Swap Party on Friday 22 August! Every participant will walk away with a fresh read—and maybe a new favourite. The swap will be part of our Book Week Finale Party, a celebration of all things bookish. Note: This is an invitation-only event, so don’t miss your chance to be part of the story!
