Year 10 - Pastoral Care

On Tuesday, June 23, our Year 10 students took part in a Pastoral Care Activity Day designed to support wellbeing, resilience, positive relationships and personal growth.

Students began the day by hearing from Michael Raydan, whose powerful personal story of challenge, consequence, recovery and change made a strong impact. His presentation encouraged students to reflect on decision-making, personal responsibility, seeking help and the possibility of making positive changes in their lives.

Students also participated in active sessions facilitated by Proactivity at Cardinia Life, providing an opportunity to work together, move, connect and enjoy time with peers outside the classroom.

A highlight of the day was the Mirror and Locker Room workshops delivered by The Reach Foundation. These sessions created safe and supportive spaces for students to explore confidence, identity, connection, stereotypes and the pressures young people can face. Students responded particularly warmly to these workshops and appreciated the honest, engaging and relatable approach of the facilitators.

Overall, the day provided our Year 10 students with valuable opportunities for reflection, connection and conversation. We hope the messages and experiences from the day continue to support them as resilient, compassionate and connected young people.
