A Message from

Hi everyone – I want to take the opportunity to congratulate the Northcote High school community on the exciting completion of your new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) building.  

This stunning three-storey facility is packed with cutting-edge labs, flexible indoor and outdoor classrooms and a spacious new library. It is truly remarkable and sets a new standard for learning spaces in our community.  

As your MP it has been my honour to support this project from its beginnings, partnering with the NHS School Council to present a proposal to the Minister for Education and secure funding from the Victorian Government in 2021 and 2022 totalling $16.7 million. 

Kerstin Thompson Architects and Building Engineering have brought the school’s vision into reality, and it will now be you – the students, teachers, staff and community at Northcote High – who will truly bring it to life. 

In Victoria we believe in the Education State. That means backing our students, teachers, and schools every step of the way. This new STEM building is part of that commitment, providing thousands of local students with world-class resources to explore, innovate, learn and thrive.  

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Northcote High School community for your unwavering support and patience through these years of renewal. Together, we’ve created something truly special.
