Year 9 : Work Experience for 2025

We are launching information to Year 9 students on the 2025 NHS Work Experience program that they can participate in next year. We provide information early so that students start keeping an eye out for opportunities – a number of large/government organisations open their programs for next year very early. A video that explains the basics of our Year 10 2025 Work Experience program can be accessed here

I’ve also uploaded documentation into Teams for students to access – Yr 9 Team/ Careers Channel/ Files. Students should remember that they will spend time in Term 1 2025 Connect on securing a placement and completing the requirements. There is no need to do anything now – except start the process of finding a placement, if appropriate. The early launch is to front-load students with information and get them to start proactively thinking about what they may wish to do for work experience next year.

Year 12 : VTAC deadline is looming 

NHS VTAC Deadline for course application completion is the end of term – Friday September 20th 2024

Students have been working on their transition planning and completion of course applications/SEAS/Scholarships in Connect this term. Those seeking other pathways or GAP years are encouraged to be planning their year, and building resumes and a plan of attack for securing employment for 2025.

Year 9 Morrisby Program

All Year 9 students will be sitting their Morrisby assessment on Monday September 16th. Students have had an introduction to the program in Connect – the video can be accessed here  and the password is NHS2024
