It has been a busy start to Term 4 in Junior School, with students settling back into their routines and a number of exciting events and activities planned for the weeks ahead. As we head towards the end of the school year, there are plenty of opportunities for our Year 7 and 8 students to participate in engaging experiences, build connections and celebrate their achievements.

Upcoming Events

On Monday 26th October, our Year 7 and 8 students will attend a performance of Verbal Combat by Brainstorm Productions. This engaging performance explores important issues surrounding bullying, conflict, respectful relationships and positive communication. We look forward to students gaining valuable insights from this experience.

Our Year 7 students will be heading to the Zoo on Monday 9th November for an exciting excursion. This will be a fantastic opportunity for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom and enjoy a day exploring the Zoo with their peers and teachers.

On Friday 13th November, our Year 7 students will participate in the Man Cave and Big Sister programs. These programs provide valuable opportunities for students to develop their social and emotional skills, build confidence, strengthen positive relationships and explore important topics relating to wellbeing and personal development.

Looking further ahead, our Year 8 Camp to Alexandra Adventure Resort will take place from Monday 7th December to Wednesday 9th December. This is always a highlight of the year, providing students with opportunities to challenge themselves, develop independence, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories. We are looking forward to a fantastic camp!

Junior School Reminders

As we continue through Term 4, we would like to remind students and families of a few important school expectations:

  • Chewing gum: Chewing gum is not permitted at school. We ask all students to ensure they are following this expectation.
  • Uniform passes: Students who are out of uniform must report to the Junior School Office to obtain a uniform pass when they arrive at school. Students should not wait until they are approached by a staff member.
  • Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive at school and to their classes on time. Students who are late to school or class three times in one week will receive a lunchtime detention.

We appreciate the ongoing support of our families in reinforcing these expectations and helping us maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

We look forward to another busy and rewarding term and wish all our Junior School students a fantastic final term of the school year!
