Wellbeing

Dear parents, carers and students,
It is the final term of 2026, which means a lot of movement as exams happen and we all start shifting our minds towards 2027!
Mental Health Month
October is Mental Health Month, and on October 10th we celebrated World Mental Health day! The national theme for this year is Together We Thrive.
Thriving together means being tightly connected to our communities, including family, schools, friendship networks, local services, sports clubs and our hobbies and activities.
This Mental Health Month, take some time to consider who you feel connected to, where you can build connections and reflect as well on your mental health. If you feel that you could do with some support with your mental health, please reach out to our Wellbeing team!
Exam Time!
The time is almost upon us! For Year 12s especially, exams can come with a lot of pressure and stress. Below are some tips for making sure you are looking after yourself during this pretty hectic time:
- Sleep! I cannot stress enough how important sleep is! And a good 8-10 hours a night, uninterrupted if possible! Think of sleep as the foundation for health. It is VITAL.
- Eating well. Fuel your body! Even if you desperately want those hot chippies and a burger because you’ve been studying hard, think about what your body needs (not wants!). Healthy foods will give you the nutrients you need for crystal clear cognition, decision-making and stamina to get through this exam period.
- A plan. Make a study plan, and stick to it. Schedule in rest breaks so that you don’t totally burn yourself out. Make a list of to-do items and feel amazing as you tick them off.
Good luck to all our Year 12 students who are graduating – we are so proud of you!
