Dear Parents and Carers,

Book Week Celebration

What a wonderful Book Week we had last week! The parade was a fantastic celebration of books, creativity and imagination, and it was wonderful to see our students so excited and engaged.

A huge thank you to all our parents and families who got behind the day and helped make it such a memorable occasion. Your support and enthusiasm made a real difference.

A very special thank you to our Literacy Leader, Bernadette Parnis, for organising all the exciting activities and events throughout the week. Her hard work and dedication helped make Book Week such a success.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful week of celebrating a love of reading.

Family School Improvement Survey

Gallery Image

In 2026, our school is participating in the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools gather feedback from students, families, and staff on how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

One of the primary objectives of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement within our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

Your input is crucial in shaping the educational experience for all students. The feedback you provide through the MACSSIS survey enables us to make informed decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of our school community. Whether it's enhancing our teaching practices, improving communication, or fostering a more supportive school environment, your voice plays a key role in driving positive change.

We encourage all parents to participate in the survey, as your perspectives are essential in helping us create the best possible learning environment for our children. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and contribute to the continuous improvement of our school. The survey will be emailed to parents and needs to be completed by Friday, 18 September 2026.

Reminder: Final School Fee Instalment Due Friday, 11 September

Thank you to all families who have already finalised their school fees. Statements were emailed to all families last Friday as a reminder of any outstanding balances.

A gentle reminder that the final school fee instalment is due by Friday, 11 September. There are currently 67 families with outstanding fees, and we kindly ask that payments be finalised by the due date.

Your contributions are important in supporting the smooth running of our school and enabling us to provide quality learning resources, programs and opportunities for all our students.

If you are experiencing any difficulties with your school fees or require further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office. We are here to support our families and work with you where needed.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

St Fidelis Visual Art & STEM Expo 2026

We are excited to announce that the St Fidelis Catholic Primary School Visual Art & STEM Expo is happening on Thursday 12 November 2026!

This year, we are transforming our whole school into a gallery of creativity, innovation and learning!

Families will have the opportunity to explore our school and discover an amazing collection of student artworks, STEM projects, inventions and prototypes. Students will also celebrate their learning by showcasing their incredible work throughout their classrooms, giving everyone a chance to see the wonderful things happening across our school.

A Special Artwork from Every Class

As part of the Expo, each class will design and create a special collaborative artwork representing their classroom and the students who learn in it.

These unique artworks will be available through a silent auction during the Expo, giving families an opportunity to take home a very special piece of St Fidelis history while supporting our school community.

Calling All Creative Families!

We know that we have many talented and creative family members within our St Fidelis community. This year, we would love to celebrate your creativity too!

If you are a parent, grandparent, carer or family member who creates artwork and would like to display one of your artworks at the Expo, we would love to hear from you.

If you are interested in participating, please email Joe Frazzetto at joef@sfmoreland.catholic.edu.au.
