PERFORMING ARTS SHOWCASE
Save the date! Our performing artists will take to the stage at the 2026 Performing Arts Showcase on Thursday 22 October from 6:30pm at the Mercy Theatre. Come along and support exceptional talent across all year levels in the areas of instrumental music, vocal performance, dance, and more. A gold coin donation would be appreciated, and all proceeds will go towards future performing arts endeavours at the College.
YEAR 12 VCE MUSIC CONCERT
Cynthia Chan, Year 12 VCE Music student, performed for students, families, and staff in the Chapel on the evening of Wednesday 3 September.
Cynthia played the pieces she is currently perfecting for her performance exam in October.
The opportunity to practise in front of different audiences allows performers to hone their talents, become accustomed to – or rather, immune to – distractions, and share their art with their community. Thanks to Cynthia for her wonderful performance.
VCE Music students Lilliana Bertalli, Savannah Curtin, Cindy Le, and Oliver Capp also performed beautiful compositions. We thank everyone who attended this marvellous evening of music for supporting our performers.
R U OK? DAY
As many of us know, the second Thursday in September is R U OK? Day, an outstanding Australian mental health initiative that reminds us to check in with our friends and loved ones.
At the College, the Wellbeing Team and Wellbeing Captains organised a celebration on Thursday 10 September that included a free BBQ lunch, complete with donuts for dessert.
Seventeen years since its founding, the R U OK? organisation wants us all to know that every day could be the right day to ask this simple question and help someone who may be struggling.
FOOTY COLOURS DAY
The Student Representative Council (SRC) collected $819.15 in donations on 1 September as part of this year’s Footy Colours Day. All donations will be given to the Grobler family to help with their medical expenses. Thanks to everyone who got into the spirit of the day to raise funds and support members of our community.
