Code Camp Programs – Coding & Robotics

Coding on Tuesday

Code Camp facilitates a lunchtime Coding program each term for Years 2 to 6 students. The sessions are facilitated by Code Camp tutors and run on Tuesday lunchtime from 1.30pm to 2.30pm in the School Hall.

Code Camp allows kids to hone their coding skills and keep practising through weekly sessions over the term! Students will produce multiple games and apps using our exciting online platform Code Camp World! We have made Code Camp World as accessible as possible so students can truly focus on the fun aspects of coding and carry on their journey at home. Each week students will choose the features they want to build, and advance their problem-solving skills to build these features using code. They will take ownership over their projects and collaborate with their peers to make awesome apps!

The nine session program runs from Tuesday 21 July (week 2) to Tuesday 15 September (week 10).

Robotics on Thursday

Students in Years 2 to 6 | Robotics lunchtime program is an 8-week hands-on journey into the exciting world of robotics and coding!

Each week, students will bring robots to life as they explore real-world programming and design challenges. From navigating mazes to solving logic puzzles, dancing robots to friendly wrestling matches, every session unlocks new ways to build, code, and create. With a strong focus on teamwork and innovation, kids will develop vital STEM skills while having a blast with technology.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding coding and robot logic through interactive challenges
  • Strengthening logical reasoning and structured thinking
  • Applying problem-solving strategies in real-world scenarios
  • Developing hands-on technology and engineering skills
  • Fostering innovation through creative robot design and play
  • Building confidence through teamwork and collaborative robotics tasks

An additional fee of $64 is added to this course for the purchase of Edison the Robot. Each child who comes to Robotics will have their very own Edison to participate in the course, and take it home at the end of the term with material to keep learning.

Please note: children will not be able to participate without an Edison Robot.

The eight session program runs from Thursday 23 July (week 2) to Tuesday 10 September (week 9).

Parents/guardians are responsible to remind their child registered for Coding and/or Robotics to attend the lunchtime program before the school day commences
