As a lead-in to our Term 3 inquiry unit on the Water Cycle, our Year 2 students recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Edithvale Wetlands last week on:

  • Tuesday 16 June (2L & 2LB) and
  • Thursday 18 June (2BH & 2RO).

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore a real-world environment where water plays a vital role in supporting life.

Throughout the day, students enjoyed exploring the wetlands and learning about the many living things that call this unique environment home. They discovered how plants and animals depend on their habitats to survive and gained a deeper understanding of the important role wetlands play in supporting biodiversity.

The excursion also highlighted the importance of water in our environment. Through hands-on activities and observations, students learned how water supports living things and helps keep ecosystems healthy. It was a wonderful learning experience that sparked curiosity and excitement as we prepared to begin our Term 3 inquiry into the water cycle.

We are delighted to share some photos from the day, showcasing our students' enthusiasm, curiosity, and engagement throughout this wonderful learning experience.
