Support Unit 

Inclusive Sport Boccia Competition 2026

Four students from the Support Unit at Elderslie High School competed at the 2026 Inclusive Sport Boccia Competition on the 3rd of June. 

Captain Trinity Van Gerwen (Year 11) and teammates Lachlan Oats (Year 9), R.S (Year 9) and Noah Dempsey (Year 8), achieved an outstanding result, finishing 3RD PLACE out of 17 schools from across the local area. The team demonstrated incredible determination and teamwork throughout the competition, progressing through to the semi-finals where they narrowly missed a place in the final by just one point in a tiebreaker. Showing great resilience, the students went on to compete for 3rd place, securing a fantastic win in yet another nail biting tiebreaker. Their effort, sportsmanship and perseverance made the school incredibly proud.
