CBCA Shadow Judging Scholarship
Last term our school was one of 20 schools who were successful in gaining the Children’s Book Council of Australia Shadow Judging Scholarship. This fantastic opportunity allows our readers to participate in the Shadow Judging Book of the Year Awards program, where we will read, discuss, and judge our own winners for the CBCA Book of the Year.
Twelve students from across the year groups have signed on to participate in this exciting opportunity. These students have until August to read the six shortlisted books.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
This year we have 8 students actively working towards completing the Premier’s Reading Challenge. This challenge involves reading 20 books from the end of September last year to the 18th September this year. Of these books, 10 must be approved on the Premier’s Reading Challenge book list but 10 can be free choice books. Massive congratulations to the two students who have already finished this challenge:

Book Week 2026
Book Week is fast approaching! This year’s theme is Symphony of Stories, and we’re once again planning to host our regular Door Decorating Competition as well as our popular Cosplay Competition!
Readerboard and House Points Update
Our library has loaned an amazing 1366 books so far this year! Our 5 Top Borrowers have borrowed an incredible 459 books between them and earned House Points for each book:
