Welcome Back to Term 4!

Welcome back to what promises to be a busy and exciting final term! We have plenty to look forward to, including our Inquiry excursion to Arthurs Seat Eagle, wellbeing incursions supporting students as they navigate growing up and prepare for the transition to secondary school, and our much-anticipated whole-school Nativity production. We'll also enjoy some friendly competition at House Sports Day and celebrate a very special milestone as our Grade 6 students prepare for their graduation. It's shaping up to be a wonderful term filled with learning, celebration and lasting memories! Please be sure to check both the newsletter and Seesaw on a regular basis to keep on top of all the incredible activities and events throughout the term.

Inquiry - Science Rocks!

This term, our Inquiry unit, Science Rocks!, will see students exploring the fascinating world of Earth and Space Sciences. Students will investigate rocks, minerals and geological processes, discovering how our Earth has changed over time. We've already started investigating the effects of weathering on different materials, as you can see in the photos below. We'll also take our learning beyond the classroom with an exciting excursion to Arthurs Seat Eagle, where students will have the opportunity to explore our local landscape and make connections to their learning. We're looking forward to a term of hands-on investigations, discovery and scientific thinking!

Faith - Preparing our Hearts for Jesus.

This term, students will explore the season of Advent and its significance as a time of preparation, hope and joyful anticipation. Through our unit, Discovering the Journey to Christmas, students will investigate the traditions, symbols and stories that help us prepare for the birth of Jesus. They will also create their own Advent calendars and Advent wreaths, which will be proudly shared at our end-of-term Learning Showcase in Week 9. We look forward to celebrating their creativity and understanding of this special season.

A Special Congratulations!

We wish a very special congratulations and best of luck to Kaley who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this Sunday. This is a wonderful milestone in her faith journey, and we pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide and inspire her as she takes this important step. May it be a beautiful and memorable celebration for her and her family.
