Environment
Since the start of Term 4 we have been busy during our weekly KGT session.
Guinea Pigs
We urgently require care for the guinea pigs over the Summer holidays. They do not cope well with the heat and will need to be housed with a family who are not going away over Summer.
They are a very important part of our school Environment Program and have been cared for by many wonderful families during the year. Please consider having them in January.
Contact Claire Ballot on claire.ballot@education.vic.gov.au if you would like to discuss the possibility.
Silkworms
As part of our Environment Program, we have been observing the life cycle of silkworms and stick insects.
We did a live time-lapse recording of a silkworm spinning a cocoon and considered the many mathematical miracles demonstrated by the action of a worm!
The students would love your help to make sure the planting, preparation and on-going care gives our plants a chance to grow. This will benefit all our local native plants and animals to thrive in the B.P.P.S. community for many years to come.
