Calling all Boroondara Park PS Basketballers for 2025

BPPS fielded 5 basketball teams in Bulleen Templestowe's Junior Community League in 2024 and we'd love you to join us in 2025. The Junior Community League is an inclusive, grass roots, local Primary School competition aimed at fun, friendly basketball. It's a great way to build on and make new friends within the school community. There are multiple grades across all primary school age groups, welcoming basketballers from beginners to those wanting a challenge. The Foundation competition is played with a smaller ball, lowered rings and a supportive approach.

In 2025 game days will be:

Mon- Grade 5/6 Boys & Girls
Tues- Grade 3/4 Boys
Wed- Grade 1/2 Boys & Girls
Thurs- Grade 3/4 Girls
Fri- Foundation

Matches are predominantly played at Bulleen Templestowe basketball courts, with some at Templestowe Leisure Centre, Templestowe Heights PS and Manningham DISC.

Training days are dependent on coach & team availability. Team training is usually held in the BPPS stadium during the week, before or after school.

We aim to play with BPPS' philosophy of ‘Care, Learn and Share’ in mind, promoting teamwork, good sportsmanship and dedication.

Congratulations to all the teams that played in 2024! It has been great to see the teams develop skills, friendship and teamwork over the course of the year. Thank you also to our dedicated BPPS parents, especially those who have volunteered as coaches and team managers this year. Our kids wouldn’t have these opportunities without your support.

For any parents who may be interested in coaching in 2025, Bulleen Boomers are running free ‘Coach the Coaches’ clinics Sun 17/11/24, 1/12/24, 15/12/24 and again in 2025, at East Doncaster Secondary College Basketball Stadium. Also, inspired by the kids' enjoyment of basketball, BPPS parents have fielded both a Mum's & a Dad's team in Bulleen Templestowe's adult competition.
