Le Francais 

Bonjour tout le monde!

The year has certainly flown by in the French classroom with students exploring French vocabulary, songs, poetry, pronunciation and memorisation of topics such as greetings, numbers, colours, weather, sports, the "Jeux Olympiques", Le Quatorze Juillet (Bastille Day), weather, countries and nationalities, ordering snacks, food in French schools and restaurants and special landmardks to visit in Paris.

Students also explored famous scientists like Louis Pasteur and inventors such as the Montgolfier brothers, connecting modern concepts such as vaccines and the olympic cauldron to their original French originators.

French Day was a great success and source of "joie de vie" with students dressing up in amazingly creative French themed costumes. Students loved participating in the mime show organised for the whole school and relished in a French themed meal deal, organised in liaison with our fantastic School Canteen Manager. 

It was wonderful to see students rise to the annual challenge of poetry memorisation, delivering outstanding performances of authentic French pronunciation, demonstrating great skills in public speaking and performance. Formidable!
