Walert News
We have had an amazing start to Term 3 in the Walert group! The children have become very interested in finding and sharing items from nature that they have found outside in the yard or on the way to kinder, particularly little stones and pebbles. It is wonderful to hear about the treasures they have found as they share them with the group. All the while children are building their communication skills as they take turns to share, listen to one another, show interest in each other's stories, and connect the experiences of others to their own.
The children absolutely loved the Chinese Ribbon Dance incursion earlier in the term (as did the staff!). The following session, we made our own crepe paper ribbons to dance and play in the wind with.
We are looking forward to a visit from Melbourne Museum's 'Museum in a Van', a perfect follow-up to Science Week and a great opportunity to learn more about dinosaurs and fossils.
