你 好 (ni hao)

Last week, our Year 5/6 students had an absolute blast at City Camp! It was wonderful to see everyone embracing new experiences, building friendships, and creating lasting memories. Although camp has come to an end, we've jumped straight back into another exciting week of learning.

In English, we are continuing to read and discuss our class novel, How to Bee. Students are exploring the theme of family, considering how different family relationships shape the main character and influence the choices they make throughout the story.

In Mathematics, we've enthusiastically begun our new unit on angles. Students have been practising how to identify and calculate unknown angles on a straight line and angles around a point, using their reasoning skills to solve increasingly challenging problems.

In Guided Inquiry, we have started exploring global issues. Students are investigating what makes an issue "global" and examining how people and countries can have different perspectives on these issues based on their own experiences, cultures, and priorities.

That's all from the 5/6 Leadership Team. We look forward to sharing more of our learning with you next time!

Warm regards,

The Senior Team

Nick, Julia, Amanda, Gabby, Jonny, Miss Liu, Roz, Miss Teo, Ciara, Jess and Sam
