Support and Intervention at MPRPS

At Mount Pleasant Road Primary School, we are committed to ensuring every student is supported to learn, grow and thrive. Alongside our high-quality whole-school teaching programs, we offer a range of targeted intervention and extension opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Our academic support programs include MiniLit, MultiLit, SpellEx, the Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP) and Maths Challenge. Students may also receive additional support or extension within their classroom, or work with our Education Support staff in small groups or individually, depending on their learning needs.

Supporting students' wellbeing is equally important. We provide access to a range of wellbeing programs and services, including our Creative Arts Therapist, a Student Counsellor (Term 3 & 4 2026), and Kids Hope Mentors, who provide regular one-to-one mentoring for selected students.

Students are identified for these programs through a range of information, including assessment data, teacher observations and feedback, and consultation with families to ensure the support provided best meets their needs.

If you would like to learn more about the support and intervention programs available at MPRPS, please don't hesitate to contact Amanda Nelson or Jonny Hobbsfor more information.
