Holiday photo from the Sydney Ashes Test

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a beautiful start we have had to autumn. We are enjoying some beautiful sunny days and much welcome and refreshing rainfall. It is amazing how the grass has changed from being dry and crunchy to lush and green.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

It has been great to see the confidence with which students are arriving at school.  Some parents have stopped parking and walking their children up, preferring to use our Kiss' n Drop Zone for drop-offs and pick-ups. If your child is confident and independent enough, you may wish to do this too.

A couple of points to note about our procedures in this area:

  • Kiss n Drop is a no-parking zone
  • Parents are asked to remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-offs and pick-ups, to assist with traffic flow
  • When dropping off, students need to be able to unbuckle themselves, open the door and climb out independently
  • When picking up, students need to be able to open the door and climb into their seat independently
  • Students exiting the car on the opposite side should walk in front of their parent's vehicle, not behind
  • Ask staff on duty for assistance for younger students entering and exiting vehicles - always happy to help
  • Please refrain from overtaking waiting vehicles as children may be entering/exiting vehicles in this space

Everyone's patience and assistance with these procedures will lead to a safe and smooth drop off and pick up experience for all involved.

Congratulations to Charlie, Henry and Archer on their fantastic victory last night in their Cricket Grand Final.  The boys had a very successful season, winning all but one game in the lead up to the Grand Final.

I would like to wish our Deputy Principal, Katie Vranken, the best wishes for her long-anticipated and much-deserved Long Service Leave over the next two weeks.  Katie is well known to many of you as a very significant contributer to the life of our school.  Simone Traynor and Lisa Bourke will be sharing the role of Deputy Principal in Katie's absence.

Following on from our extremely well attended and successful Welcome Barbecue, we are looking forward to gathering. again as a community for our annual Twilight Sports.
