Camp Adanac

On the last days of Term One, Wednesday 1 April and Thursday 2 April, our class is going on camp at Adanac in Yarra Junction.  You will have already received via email a request for any special dietary needs.  Your response will go directly to Adanac.  Next week, you will receive the permission form via nForma.  This will include a packing list.  You will also be asked to update nForma with any medical needs for your child.  Please update this as it is crucial that we have up-to-date medical information.  If your child requires medication at the camp you will need to fill out a medication authority form, which you can request from one of your teachers.  As there are water activities, we also ask that you update your child's swimming ability, so that we can meet the needs of children of all swimming abilities.

Naplan

Next week, our Year 3 students will be sitting the national NAPLAN tests along with all the Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students in Australia.   Please ensure all students come to school well-rested and on time.  We have Writing and Reading on Wednesday, Language Conventions on Thursday and Numeracy on Friday.  Any students who are absent on these days, will sit catch up sessions in the following week.

Class Pet

Our class is so keen for a class pet that they 'adopted' a 'friendly' huntsman and have been eagerly collecting bugs to feed it.  Spiderman will be freed this weekend to return to his natural habitat.  However, there may be a surprise for the children next week.
