EVERY DAY COUNTS - Keeping attendance on track.

As we approach the end of Term 3, we would like to thank our families for the work you have been doing to support improved attendance, particularly through the winter months. We know that getting students to school consistently, especially during the colder and darker months, can sometimes be challenging, and your efforts make a real difference.

As we prepare for the next round of Progress Reports, which will be published at the end of Term 3, we encourage families to take a few minutes to check your child's attendance on Compass. Our Every Day Counts – Attendance Guide for Families provides information about monitoring attendance and recording absences through Compass. When checking your child's attendance, remember to change the date range to the beginning of Semester 2 to ensure you are viewing the correct attendance percentage.

If you notice an attendance record that appears incorrect, please encourage your child to follow this up with their classroom teacher or Year Level Coordinator so it can be reviewed.

Regular attendance and arriving on time are important for staying connected to learning and making progress. We encourage families to review your child's attendance and progress together and consider what can be done to support continued improvement through Term 4.
