The library is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm each day, including recess and lunchtime for all students.

Library Borrowing & Returns
Students can borrow up to 5 books at a time, for a 2-week duration. Reminder emails, notices on Compass, and TEAMS messages are sent to students when books are overdue, prompting them to return or renew.
We do not charge overdue fees, but long overdue books (months) will incur a replacement fee, and parents will be contacted via Compass 'events' regarding this.
Library Lunchtimes
We always have lots happening the library - especially on these colder days. Thank you to all students who are able to keep themselves engaged with the many activities on offer.
Book Bites Book Club
Book Bites Book Club students visited 'Stories by the Sea Bookshop' to hear from staff member Emma about the running of a bookshop and how they select books. Students then helped select some new titles for our Library collection. We also celebrated a successful term with a special lunch to farewell our Year 12 members.
Successful Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories
We had a full week of activities for Book Week 2026, however the big Library Quiz proved to be quite popular and full of friendly rivalry between the teams. Well done to Team CAKE who were the overall winners. Special thanks to Phoebe and Zack (Year 7) who compiled many of the questions and were our adjudicators.
Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge 2026
Congratulations to the students who chose to challenge themselves through the VPRC reading program -- Ava, Edel, Ivana, Kaya, Phoebe, Subhi -- between them they read an incredible 395 books and provided short reviews for each!!! Well done.

"I enjoyed this book a lot. However, when Pip kept going with the case the murderer was like: "This is your last chance! Ok.. this is your last chance! Ok, for real this time, this is your last chance!"
Where the River Runs Gold

"I've always loved books that show other people's versions of the future. Also, I think the messages about family and belonging that it spreads are one of the most important things for us to remember."
Otogizoshi: the Fairy Tale Book of Dazai Osamu
review by Ivana (Year 7)
"These tales- twisted from the original Japanese - were told in a way only Dazai knows how, full of amusing conversations and deeper meanings that makes people really feel for the characters, plus the way Dazai puts a bit of himself in all the main characters, either it's the unfortunate racoon fallen in love with the Artemis- like bunny or the man who longs to fly as a crow, it's all so flawlessly beautiful. My version had a section by the translator- if there's light, Dazai Osamu will let you see it."
Would you Rather...?
'Would you rather...?' our new weekly question has proved very popular and provides amusing dilemmas that may or may not change your thinking!!
Results of previous questions are posted in the Library and our final dilemma for this term is 'Would you rather... Do 500 Push-ups or Do 500 Sit-ups?'
