Year 9 City Week

Last week the entire Year 9 cohort (as well as some dedicated staff) spent 3 days exploring the wonderful city of Melbourne. Each day was filled with activities and experiences. 

Rather than me sharing my thoughts - here is what some of the students had to say in their feedback survey:

“The freedom we were given to explore the city helped with our independence and getting more confident in unfamiliar surroundings on our own.”

“The best thing was going on the oval of the MCG. It was a huge experience stepping on the field, where footy and cricket players play and seeing the history behind these sports.”

“The NGV was quite interesting, and I loved that students had to make their own way to the city, it makes it much more enjoyable.”

“Exploring the city and visiting famous places with friends were very great opportunity to widen my knowledge and improve myself.”

As staff, we were thrilled with the maturity and respect shown by the students throughout the week.

One last huge thank you needs to go out to the Year 9 Coordinators Mr Tom Faulkner and Ms Peipei Guan for the incredible effort they put in to help organise the tours and activities and for supporting the students throughout the week. 

It was a great success!
