CBCA Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories

We had a wonderful week celebrating with lots of fun activities and enthusiasm! Congratulations to Sahara and runners up Alex and Sophie in the dress up competition. First place of our quiz went to 8C’s Jaini and Shenaya. Kiara (9C) won the drawing/colouring competition with runners up Sophie and Augie. Award winning author Karen Wasson spoke to our Year 7-9 students and it was great to see the students so engaged and with plenty of questions.

GEC’s Hottest 100 Books of this Century

During Book Week we counted down each down with some great picks. Karen Wasson’s ‘Inked’ came in at number 27 and Raina Telgemeier’s ‘Smile’ our number 1 pick.
