The year 8 girls hockey team is on fire and we can't wait to see them compete at the STATE FINALS on Friday 15th November! This team has been coached each Thursday before school by Erin Carter with support of Tom from Bayside Hockey Club. Jan Robinson has taken the girls to both of their tournaments so far with student coaches Mila-Mae Linstrom and Klara Punt of year 9.
The college would like to thank Bayside Hocky Club for this support of all of our hockey teams in term 3.
The year 7 boys basketball team have been working hard since their Kingston Divison win at the end of term 3. They are off to the Southern Metropolitan finals on Friday 1st November. The team has been coached by year 10, Robbie Sheedy. Robbie is a part of our Chase basketball program and has flourished in the opportunity to work with these students.
In December you'll see some of our Physical Education staff running in the Speak Share fun run. While some of our staff are keen runners, others are taking the opportunity to put themselves in uncomfortable positions and train for the run. Speak Share is an Australian foundation which work with schools and sport groups to de-sensitise the mental health stigma, and to normalise starting the conversation with our mates, team members, fellow employees or the wider community.
