ALUMNI News
Term 4 will see continued activity in the alumni program with alumni visits to support early commencement in specialist subjects, involvement in Best Fest centenary celebrations and a group of students attending an Industry Insight excursion to the Melbourne office of global engineering firm ARUP.
ARUP INDUSTRY INSIGHT EXCURSION
A group of 35 Frankston High School students have put themselves forward to attend an interactive event facilitated by Ourschool. This excursion targets students interested in a career in STEM, environmental sustainability, urban design, renewable energy and business. As part of this unique opportunity, they will:
- Hear about career pathways at ARUP, a world leading engineering firm
- Take part in small group discussions with ARUP employees
- Learn about the fastest growing industries in the sustainability and engineering sector
BEST FEST
As part of the broader community, Frankston High School alumni are especially welcome to attend the upcoming centenary celebrations. Please come and visit the alumni stall to learn how engagement with alumni is benefiting current Frankston High School students. Past students can join the growing alumni community while there or sign up anytime via the website.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM
Our School is a not-for-profit service, and the only service in Australia devoted solely to helping public high schools build supportive alumni communities. Why? Because alumni can be inspirational, relatable career role models for current students. To learn more about OurSchool, go to ourschool.net.au
Alumni can give back to their old school in so many ways that benefit current students; either via inspirational career pathway advice, industry insights, post Year 12 study insights, study tips and techniques, work experience opportunities, donations to assist with school programs and more. The opportunities for involvement are endless.
